Based on maleic anhydride-(MAH)-modified and functionalized polyolefin compounds, Yparex produces extrudable adhesive tie-layer resins that provide outstanding adhesion between all forms of polyolefin-based resins and other materials including metals (aluminium, steel, and copper) and barrier plastics (polyamides (nylons) and ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH)). Also adhesion to glass, epoxy resins, PET and various fillers and additives are within reach of the Yparex® adhesive resins. Products can be supplied in the shape of granules, films and powders.
Yparex® adhesive tie-layer resins are widely used in numerous application areas and industries:
Yparex BV and its sister company EcoForte BV have their roots firmly in the plastic raw material manufacturing landscape. Yparex started out as trade name of extrudable adhesive resins under the wings of DSM, the Dutch chemicals and materials giant. EcoForte goes back to the compounding activities of Hartmann garden furniture in Enschede, the Netherlands. Since 2011, the two companies are together and in 2017 they applied the name The Compound Company to the group of companies. In 2016 they opened a production JV in Jakarta, Indonesia, by the name of Resindo. This allows them to serve the SEA market with both EcoForte and, as of 2018, Yparex products.
Customer focus, product development and production flexibility are the drivers of The Compound Company. Outstanding technical service, broad application knowledge and the ability and willingness to co-develop products or do customer-specific product developments set them apart from the competition. Big and small customers all over the world benefit from the product know-how of the Yparex team. They look forward to helping the market in any way they can.
In 2012, Yparex was the first to the market with a biobased tie resin, aimed at those packaging producers that try to make their offerings more sustainable. Since then, the portfolio has expanded, to encompass more packaging applications, especially coated cardboard. Also the offering contains both first generation biobased ad second generation biobased. Yparex® has stated its continuing commitment to the biobased packaging market.
