Like most brand-owners across the packaging market, more companies are increasingly interested in PET for its high performance and positive environmental profile. But it is also an ideal material for colour creativity. PET opens up a world of colour possibilities to help customers' products achieve the highest levels of visibility and brand recognition on shop shelves.
Now, Clariant's global PET team has collaborated with its renowned ColorWorks design centre to create a colour collection that is very different from the usual colour offering. There are four distinct colour palettes made up of six different hues, which have been selected for each major packaging segment. Brilliance, simplicity and transparency characterise the beverage palette. For personal care, the colours include near-pastels and mysterious darks, while food is represented by warm colours that promote relaxation. Household and cleaning colours are fresh, bold and dynamic.
Every colour is represented by moulded plastic 'chips' that are presented in a three-dimensional catalogue that displays all the different shades at a glance. The chips can easily be slipped out of their slots in the kit for viewing in different lighting or in combination with other colours.
These selected colours are meant to provide inspiration for designers and marketing professionals, and represent a small part of the colour spectrum that is made possible with a reliable partner like Clariant. As usual, customers can get tailor-made solutions based on their specific requirements.
