GOEBEL IMS - Tailor-made slitting and winding solutions

With the newly developed INTERSLIT, GOEBEL IMS introduces its latest technical development for highly productive processing of films, especially BOPP, BOPA and thin films for web widths of 4,000- 7,000mm. The slitter rewinder combines the highest flexibility with state-of-the-art technology, and the basic model can be upgraded through a number of functions:

  • an automatic loading device
  • a camera system monitoring the knife position
  • specific tambour and unwind diameter
  • an ergonomic cross-cutting and splicing device.

The slitter rewinder RAPID D1 is a long-term success and offers extraordinary flexibility with materials and slitting widths; the highest productivity and availability; and excellent slitting and roll quality. Dedicated to covering many different needs, it is suitable for the conversion of cigarette and tipping papers, technical papers and board strips for packaging, as well as siliconised papers and flexible packaging materials.

The unique slitting concept makes the RAPID D1 especially suited for narrow cuts starting from 5mm. Nevertheless, it converts working widths of up to 2,000mm and processes rolls with a stock reel diameter of up to 1,500mm into finished rolls with a diameter of up to 1,000mm at speeds of up to 1,000m/min, reaching a precision of ±0.1mm. A single shaft in the rewind system makes loading and unloading very easy.

To round up the portfolio, GOEBEL IMS also offers dual-shaft slitter rewinders for flexible packaging and other applications. These machines are especially suitable for medium-sized or large converters that need to produce finished rolls with a flat edge and with consistent tension ranges.
