FlexFilms, the global film manufacturing arm of India’s largest multinational flexible packaging solutions company, Uflex, have entered e-commerce with their unique website FLEX-BuzzR that will make available the complete range of film offerings from its Poland plant to its European Union (EU) customers, at a click of a button.

Unveiled by FlexFilms International Vice Chairman & CEO Anantshree Chaturvedi at the FachPack trade show  in Germany the innovatively designed B2B platform is intended to supplement Flex Films existing brick-and-mortar business model. The website not only offers its portfolio of films but also allows customers to browse product catalogue, find clear product descriptions, technical specification, its end applications, and also the best deals available. Eventually customers would have the option to create their cart for which a formal order would get generated in real time post confirmation by relevant sales lead. Active production site in Poland offers unique opportunity for European customers to not just pick up readily available rolls (Quick Pick Order) of what they like, but also order as per their customized need at the same time (Made to Order).

Explaining the objective behind launching ‘FLEX-BuzzR’, Vishal Nayyar, Senior Vice President- Global Business Development at Uflex said, “What makes ‘FLEX-BuzzR’ unique is that it’s an easy to navigate user-friendly site, aimed at offering an uncluttered alternative to its European customers to explore & order Flex’s amazing flexible packaging films at their own convenience. This helps us extend engagement with our esteemed customer base in EU, by fulfilling their 11th hour film needs besides being their trusted partner on servicing their planned business for all these years. Besides it being a unique service differentiation in the industry, FlexFilms wishes to utilize this platform to announce its new product launches as also collaborate with the relevant stakeholders online to work on future film solutions of common interest.

FLEX_BuzzR will be a first of its kind e-commerce website selling entire range of polyester films and its variants, by an Indian Company. FLEX-BuzzR is intended to supplement Flex Films existing brick-and-mortar biz model. Its active production site in Poland offers unique opportunity for European customers to not just pick up readily available rolls of what they like, but also order as per their customized need at the same time.

Speaking to PCI at the show, Anantshree Chaturvedi, Vice Chairman & CEO of FlexFilms said “Technological advancements can be seen throughout the industry but we have been using outdated models to fulfil film buying, and Flex- BuzzR seeks to rectify this. We have new millennial purchasing managers used to a streamlined process like Amazon and being stuck with inefficient, systems, even using faxes still for orders. This platform makes the buying process easier, and a better experience for customers.  In addition to showcasing the entire portfolio, they can receive training and education about the products.

He continued, “We are providing a disruptive innovation and point of differentiation with this new offering. First mover advantage for us is very useful but we actually welcome others to get into the game so it can become a holistic community.  This is all part of the faster and just in time inventory that we see required by our customers. We earlier used to take 4-6 weeks to supply products and sometimes 1-2month in case of offshore shipping but now we see this happening in 7-14 days and feel this can be even faster. With minimum off-cut , fresh material, reduction in curing time and transportation, all the costs will be lesser  and our conservative estimates are that 5-15% savings can be realised in improved customer efficiencies using this tool.”
