Sealed Air launches Korrvu transparent film

19 February 2013

Protective packaging manufacturer Sealed Air has unveiled Korrvu with Intercept, a new transparent film designed to protect metal and prevent corrosion.

The product has been developed in conjunction with German firm COMPtrade Technologies, which entered into an agreement with Sealed Air at last year's Fachpack.

COMPtrade brings its Intercept technology to the table, with the protective film guaranteeing product protection for at least two years, according to the manufacturer.

Korrvu creates a neutralised atmosphere without corrosive gases present and protects all materials from corrosion and aging by "liberating any moisture" containing harmful elements.

Ingo Lublow, Korrvu business development director for Europe at Sealed Air, said: "We are bringing this innovative, custom-designed solution to the market to benefit all companies dealing with transporting products such as metal parts, electronics and automotive components.

"We are proud to be the first protective packaging manufacturer to combine Intercept Technology with conventional packaging methods, creating potential cost savings of up to 25% for customers."
